These fully rugged laptops are designed for professionals who work in harsh conditions and cannot always rely on a network or cloud connection.

The new models build on Getac’s B360 series. They combine improved processing performance with a larger 14-inch display, enhanced security and extensive connectivity options in a compact, portable design. They are aimed at professionals in sectors including public safety, utilities, manufacturing and defence, who need equipment capable of carrying out a wide range of complex tasks in the field.

AI performance

The B360X and B360X Pro are equipped with Intel Core Ultra 5/7/X7 processors (Series 3), Intel Graphics and Intel AI Boost technology. The Intel Core Ultra X7 processor is available exclusively on the B360X. Models with this processor support total computing power of up to 180 TOPS. This enables the laptops to handle multitasking, intensive data processing and AI applications without requiring a cloud connection. Field professionals can process data locally, make decisions faster and keep sensitive information better protected.

The 14-inch WUXGA LumiBond display with Getac Sunlight Readable Technology has a brightness of 1,400 nits, keeping it readable in bright sunlight. The capacitive touchscreen also works with gloves on and in the rain.

Connectivity and security

The B360X and B360X Pro offer a range of connectivity options for use in diverse working environments. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 come as standard. Dedicated GPS with L1/L5 support, 4G LTE and 5G Sub-6 with Standalone (SA) are available as options. Users can also choose from various I/O configurations, including up to two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports for fast data transfer.

Thanks to two hot-swappable batteries, users can swap batteries during operation without switching off the laptop. This allows them to keep working in the field for longer without having to stop to recharge.

Security has also been expanded: a Windows Hello camera with a 5-megapixel front camera, TPM 2.0, a smart card reader, a user-replaceable PCIe NVMe SSD and Getac Disk Wipe are included as standard. A second SSD, an HF RFID reader and a fingerprint reader are available as options. With two 2 TB SSDs, up to 4 TB of storage capacity is possible.

Built for harsh conditions

The B360X and B360X Pro are built for demanding working environments. They comply with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G, have an IP66 rating and can withstand drops of 1.8 metres while in operation. This makes them suitable for locations where standard equipment struggles to cope with the conditions. Additional certification for salt fog resistance is also available if required.

B360X Pro: extra capabilities in a compact format

The B360X Pro comes as standard with two high-capacity batteries. For graphics-intensive applications, a discrete NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell graphics card is available as an option. The laptop can also be fitted with an expansion bay for a third battery or a DVD drive.

Designed for use in extreme conditions

The combination of Edge AI, a rugged design and a portable format makes both models suitable for a wide range of applications where a reliable internet connection is unavailable.

Public safety and emergency response: in disaster areas where communication links have gone down, the B360X can serve as a mobile command post. Using Edge AI software, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), geographic information systems (GIS) and automatic vehicle location (AVL) systems can be integrated.

Defence: the B360X Pro can support military training and simulation platforms at locations without a network connection. Edge AI makes it possible to simulate virtual enemy behaviour and tactical scenarios.

Utilities and manufacturing: at locations without coverage, such as transmission towers, underground pipelines and hard-to-reach areas of factories, the B360X can run CAD software and 3D modelling processes locally. This supports precise installations and complex maintenance work.

According to James Hwang, CEO of Getac Technology Corporation, the value of AI is realised not in climate-controlled server rooms but at the edge of the network, where decisions are critical to safety, defence and infrastructure. Hwang says the B360X and B360X Pro give professionals access to the latest generation of AI, regardless of the conditions or available connectivity.

The Getac B360X and B360X Pro will be available from November 2026.

Getac introduces the B360X and B360X Pro, rugged 14-inch laptops with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors.
