Lexit Group is acquiring Indicium, a Barendrecht-based supplier of data capture, mobility and networking solutions. For the Norwegian technology group, it is the fourth acquisition of 2026 and its first move into the Benelux. In recent years, Indicium has grown mainly in the healthcare sector with its approach to Unified Endpoint Management.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lexit Group is based in Kl\u00f8fta and provides digitalisation and automation solutions for manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and retail. Its portfolio covers product identification, coding and marking, data capture, mobility, RFID, point-of-sale systems, electronic shelf labels, automation, robotics and warehouse management systems. According to the company, the group has more than 450 employees and annual revenue of around \u20ac220 million. It operates in the Scandinavian countries, Germany and now also the Netherlands.<\/p>\n

Fourth acquisition in 2026<\/h3>\n

Lexit Group has acquired several companies this year. Sweden’s Optidev joined in February, Denmark’s Norris Print-Tech followed in August, and in September the group announced the acquisition of Finland’s Signal Partners Group. With Indicium, Lexit Group is entering the Benelux for the first time. The company says it is seeking a stronger European presence. The press release does not disclose the purchase price or any other terms.<\/p>\n

Group CEO Sjur Skj\u00e6veland describes the acquisition as an important step in the company’s growth strategy. He says Lexit Group aims to become a major European provider of digitalisation and automation solutions. According to Skj\u00e6veland, the move into the Benelux gives the group access to a new European market and a platform for further growth.<\/p>\n

Indicium growing in healthcare<\/h3>\n

Founded in 1999, Indicium is based in Barendrecht and has twenty employees. The company supplies hardware, software and services for data capture, mobility and networking, and supports organisations in managing their mobile and network environments. It serves customers across several sectors, with logistics, retail and healthcare as its main markets.<\/p>\n

Managing director Hans Nolen says Indicium has grown mainly in healthcare in recent years. According to him, a growing number of Dutch hospitals and healthcare organisations use the company’s approach to Unified Endpoint Management (UEM). As part of Lexit Group, Nolen expects to be able to apply that expertise beyond the Netherlands, for customers elsewhere in Europe.<\/p>\n

Integration still unclear<\/h3>\n

Through the acquisition, Indicium gains a parent company with a broader portfolio, including RFID, electronic shelf labels, robotics and warehouse management. Lexit Group, in turn, gains a base in the Netherlands and a customer base in logistics and healthcare. Lexit Group does not say in the press release how the integration will proceed or whether Indicium will continue to operate under its own name.<\/p>\n

The deal is part of a series of acquisitions through which the group has expanded into several European countries in a short space of time.
