Comstor, the Cisco arm of distributor Westcon-Comstor, is introducing the SAIL programme for channel partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The programme combines sales support, technical training and expertise from ecosystem partners such as SoftServe. According to the company, more than 400 partners have already signed up for the sessions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SAIL was developed by Comstor, the Westcon-Comstor business line that focuses on Cisco. The programme is aimed at partners in EMEA that want to sell and implement AI solutions. Westcon-Comstor says the programme supports partners at every stage of their AI journey.<\/p>\n

Commercial and technical learning tracks<\/h3>\n

The programme brings together three elements: sales support, technical training and insights from real-world AI implementations. Participants also gain access to expertise from the wider AI ecosystem. One of the companies contributing to this is SoftServe, a specialist in consultancy and digital services.<\/p>\n

With this, Westcon-Comstor aims to make partners more confident in AI projects, improve their customer conversations and accelerate the implementation of AI-ready infrastructure. According to the distributor, many partners are looking for support in designing and implementing AI solutions as their customers explore what AI can do for productivity and efficiency. SAIL brings the commercial and technical learning tracks for this together in a single programme.<\/p>\n

First sessions on NVIDIA AI Blueprints<\/h3>\n

The first SAIL sessions focused on NVIDIA AI Blueprints. These are NVIDIA reference workflows for building specific AI applications. Comstor has announced that future modules will cover additional AI use cases and the associated infrastructure requirements.<\/p>\n

Since the launch, more than 400 partners have signed up for SAIL sessions, according to Westcon-Comstor. The company sees this as a sign of growing demand for AI-focused support within the channel.<\/p>\n

Partner skills<\/h3>\n

David Blackburn, EMEA Architecture Lead AI Ready Data Centre at Westcon-Comstor, says AI offers growth opportunities for the channel. According to him, conversations the distributor has with partners show that many partners are still building the commercial and technical skills needed to capitalise on those opportunities.<\/p>\n

According to Blackburn, Westcon-Comstor aims to narrow that gap with SAIL. He expects the combination of commercial support, technical training and expertise from the AI ecosystem to enable partners to have better conversations with customers and deliver AI solutions.<\/p>\n

According to Westcon-Comstor, the programme is part of a broader effort by Comstor to support Cisco partners with emerging technologies. In doing so, the company emphasises growth through services around those solutions, alongside the sale of hardware and licences.<\/p>\n
