The new DIMM modules are designed for computers based on DDR5 platforms, both new systems and configurations being upgraded. The series includes variants with speeds of up to 6,800 MT/s and latencies from CL30, as well as kits with a total capacity of up to 64 GB.

A game, Discord, a browser with multiple tabs, gameplay recording, streaming and system monitoring: in a modern gaming set-up, the system memory rarely serves just one application.

RIVAL Charge DDR5 has been designed with this kind of workload in mind. Higher memory bandwidth offers benefits when multiple operations are carried out in parallel, while the right capacity gives the system more headroom when several demanding applications are running at the same time.

That is why RIVAL Charge lets users choose not only the frequency and latency, but also the capacity that best matches how the computer is actually used.

6,800 MT/s is not the only number that counts

When choosing DDR5 memory, it is tempting to focus mainly on frequency. However, the MT/s figure alone does not tell the full story about a module’s performance characteristics. Latency, expressed among other things as CAS Latency (CL), is just as important. RIVAL Charge will be available in 5,600 and 6,000 MT/s configurations with latencies from CL30, 6,400 MT/s CL32 and 6,800 MT/s CL34. Selected CL36 variants will also be available.

This range makes it possible to match the memory to the capabilities of the processor and motherboard, rather than limiting the choice to the highest available MT/s value. When building a computer, it is the full set of specifications that counts: speed, latency, compatibility and capacity.

There are also several capacity options. RIVAL Charge will be available as single modules of 8, 16 and 32 GB, and as dual-channel kits of 2 × 8 GB, 2 × 16 GB and 2 × 32 GB. This allows configurations ranging from 16 GB for less demanding systems, through 32 GB for gaming and multitasking, up to 64 GB for users who game, stream, edit content or work with more demanding applications on the same computer.

DDR5 as the starting point for a new configuration

RIVAL Charge expands the Goodram RIVAL family with a solution designed for DDR5 platforms. The existing RIVAL DDR4 modules remain an option for users upgrading computers based on the older standard without having to replace the processor and motherboard.

RIVAL Charge, by contrast, is aimed at new and upgraded configurations that use DDR5. The range from 5,600 to 6,800 MT/s makes it possible to choose memory for both more basic gaming PCs and more powerful systems that are also used for streaming or content creation.

Profiles instead of manual tuning

RIVAL Charge supports Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles. On a compatible platform, these allow users to apply preset values for frequency, latency and voltage without having to configure each parameter manually.

After selecting the appropriate profile in the BIOS, the user can activate settings prepared for a specific memory variant. This is primarily intended for users who want to make the most of the modules’ capabilities without manually configuring individual DRAM parameters.

Red is the first colour variant

The first RIVAL Charge modules feature a red and black heat spreader and a black PCB, retaining the gaming look of the RIVAL family. However, this colour variant is only the beginning: Goodram plans to expand the RIVAL Charge line with additional colour options, giving users more freedom to match the memory to the overall look of their system.

This is particularly relevant for computers in which components are increasingly part of the visual design: from the colour of the case and cooling system to the motherboard, cables and other components. The design does not come at the expense of compatibility, however. The modules are 32.85 mm high and, thanks to their low profile, are easier to fit in configurations with larger CPU coolers, where space above the DIMM slots may be limited.

Like other Goodram RIVAL memory modules, RIVAL Charge DDR5 is covered by the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty.

Goodram expands its RIVAL series with RIVAL Charge DDR5 memory, offering speeds up to 6,800 MT/s, latencies from CL30 and kits totalling up to 64 GB.

https://mspbusiness.com/de/pressemitteilungen/goodram-erweitert-rival-serie-um-rival-charge-ddr5-speicher/
Goodram expands its RIVAL series with RIVAL Charge DDR5 memory, offering speeds up to 6,800 MT/s, latencies from CL30 and kits totalling up to 64 GB.

11

6
post-88","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-press-releases","layout-news
["GET
