Open Line is expanding its sovereign cloud services with Everpure’s storage platform. The Dutch MSP, which recently became part of the European company Conscia, is deploying the platform for business-critical workloads in its private cloud. Open Line sources the storage through Everpure’s Evergreen consumption model.
With its sovereign cloud services, Open Line targets organisations in sectors including healthcare and the public sector. These organisations are subject to regulations such as NIS2 and want to keep sensitive data under their own control. Following its acquisition by Conscia, which operates across Europe, Open Line is preparing for international growth. To support that growth, the MSP was looking for a storage platform that scales with demand, supports different financing models and allows updates without disrupting services.
Consumption model and scalability
Open Line sources the storage through Everpure’s Evergreen Storage-as-a-Service. According to Everpure, this enables Open Line to expand capacity on demand without major upfront investment, with SLAs guaranteed by the vendor. Storage costs are aligned with actual usage, which the company says limits overcapacity.
Everpure states that the platform absorbs Open Line’s annual data growth. Upgrades take place without disrupting services. According to the vendor, this reduces the operational effort involved in handling growing data volumes.
Performance and data protection
The platform runs business-critical workloads in Open Line’s private cloud. Everpure claims that these workloads achieve consistently low latency and that overall performance has improved.
For backup, disaster recovery and compliance, Open Line uses immutable snapshots on the Everpure platform. According to the vendor, this has strengthened the MSP’s cyber resilience and data protection.
Open Line’s customers can supplement their existing cloud strategy with a sovereign environment. Everpure says this allows customers to retain access to critical data and applications, even during disruptions or if control over external platforms is lost.
AI-driven management
Management of the platform is AI-driven. According to Everpure, the system answers management queries within seconds. The company expects this to reduce administrators’ reliance on spreadsheets and save them hours of manual work.
Comments from both companies
Emile Stam, CEO of Open Line, describes Everpure as a partner that acts as an extension of his own organisation. According to Stam, the technology, the vendor’s approach and the Evergreen consumption model enable Open Line to deliver the performance, flexibility and security that customers expect. He expects the partnership to become more important as demand for sovereign cloud increases, because customers want to know that their data is protected and under local control.
Robert Jan Bloksma, Country Manager Netherlands at Everpure, points out that data management and data sovereignty have become priorities, particularly in regulated sectors. Bloksma says the partnership enables Open Line to offer a sovereign cloud environment that combines control with the required performance and resilience. Everpure is also supporting Open Line in its expansion in Europe.
