Arctic Wolf launches SwarmView for Aurora Agentic SOC

Arctic Wolf is launching SwarmView, a feature that the company says makes visible how the AI agents in its Aurora Agentic SOC investigate and handle threats. For each investigation, customers can see which agents and human analysts contributed and how a conclusion was reached. The feature will appear as a beta in the Arctic Wolf Portal this autumn.

SwarmView is linked to the Swarm of Experts framework that Arctic Wolf introduced earlier this year. According to the company, this ‘swarm’ consists of hundreds of AI agents that handle security tasks from start to finish, with human analysts validating the outcomes. Arctic Wolf states that the framework can plan and execute actions for most cybersecurity objectives and is therefore not limited to individual tasks such as triage or investigation. Until now, the company says, how the agents arrived at their decisions has largely happened behind the scenes.

With SwarmView, Arctic Wolf brings the workings of the Swarm of Experts together in a single tool. The feature builds on the AI Trust Engine, a previously introduced component that, according to the company, validates every decision the system makes.

What customers can see

Arctic Wolf highlights four elements that customers can view through SwarmView. First, users can follow an investigation from the initial signal through to the final conclusion, including which agents contributed and how they carried out each step. In addition, the tool shows the events and the measures taken at each stage, so that the defence chain is presented in a single overview.

SwarmView also shows how the specific context of a customer’s environment was taken into account in the decision-making process. The fourth element shows where and when a decision was handed over to a human expert and the reason for that decision.

Transparency as a barrier to AI adoption

Arctic Wolf links the launch to research by SANS. In the SANS 2026 AI Survey, 40 per cent of security leaders cite transparency and trust in AI decisions as the biggest challenge in integrating AI. According to Arctic Wolf, security leaders want to understand how threats are investigated, how conclusions are drawn and at which points human expertise is brought in.

Nick Schneider, President and CEO of Arctic Wolf, says that organisations are using AI for important decisions but cannot simply trust those decisions without transparency. In his view, security teams have long been expected to trust results without knowing how they were arrived at. Schneider says that with SwarmView the company provides insight into the experts, agents, decisions and actions behind investigations. He sees this as a new standard for accountability in AI-driven security operations.

Availability

SwarmView will become available as a beta in the Arctic Wolf Portal this autumn. The company has not shared any information about pricing or a date for general availability.
