Previder, part of the Dutch Odin Groep, is acquiring British managed IT service provider Wanstor. The London-based company has around 200 employees and provides a 24/7 service desk as well as services in cybersecurity, cloud and AI. With the acquisition, Previder is now active in the United Kingdom in addition to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Wanstor was founded in 2002 by Peter Lukes, who also previously served as the company’s CEO. In addition to its offices in London, the company works with engineers based across the United Kingdom. Its services are aimed at organisations that want to outsource their IT and, alongside the service desk, include specialist expertise in data and modern workplaces. No details of the acquisition price have been disclosed.
According to Previder, Wanstor’s services and vision are closely aligned with its own direction. Wanstor focuses on three pillars: user experience, the responsible application of AI, and security and digital resilience.
Fourth country for Previder
Previder says the acquisition fits its ambition to grow further in North-West Europe. The company expects it to create a broader international base for sharing knowledge and expertise and for supporting customers across national borders. At the same time, it will continue to work with local teams that stay close to customers.
Arno Witvliet, CEO of Odin Groep, says Wanstor is a good fit for Previder in terms of services and vision. According to him, both companies share the view that technology only adds value when organisations can deploy it securely, reliably and purposefully. Witvliet sees Wanstor’s presence and expertise as a foundation for the group’s further growth in the United Kingdom.
Local services remain
Francesca White, CEO of Wanstor, describes joining Previder as the next step for her organisation. She says Wanstor will retain its local engagement and personal customer relationships while gaining access to a broader network of knowledge, capacity and expertise within the group. White expects this to enable Wanstor to expand its services and better support customers with technological, security and operational challenges.
Manmit Rai, COO of Wanstor, says the acquisition gives the company the opportunity to realise its ambitions more quickly. According to Rai, Wanstor will continue to invest in customer experience, the use of AI, cybersecurity and the development of its services. In doing so, he is counting on the scale, expertise and investment capacity of the larger organisation. Rai also expects employees to be given more room to develop.
